Biography

My name is Georgia Miller and I live in the glorious Gold Coast, Queensland.

 

Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a fascination with the beautiful landscape that Australia provides. From forests, to the wildlife, even to the sky. I enjoy taking photographs of all things that I find beautiful and vital to have in this life in order to make it interesting. This ranges from landscape photography, to macro photography of the beautiful fauna and flora that nature offers, to architectural photography, as even man-made nature provides beauty. I also enjoy work with graphic design; whether it be through digital character design, logo design or constructing wallpapers for people. I have always loved journeying through nature and admiring what this world has to offer. I love animals of all kinds, and eagerly wish to live a life centred around animals and nature. Photography helps me get closer to these aspects of the world and feel connected to them on a deeper level.

 

Although I have only recently picked up the camera and discovered a passion for photography and graphic design, I have always loved art and the process of it since before I can remember. Even though I am the only member of my immediate family who has a passion for art and it's intricate process, my family have always loved nature. My father has a massive fascination for aquatic luxuries; boats and islands. My mother has a love for all simple things outdoors, as she grew up in the country and learned to love nature & the beauties of what it offers.  Being raised by these people who have different fascinations with nature landscapes inspires me to better myself as not only a photographer and an artist, but as a nature lover as well.

 

As well as nature photography and graphic design, character design is a passion of mine. I have always been influenced by the make believe integrating with the real world. Cartoons being in live action films, super-heroes and monsters are all things that inspire me to create the art style in which I work with. I admire the make-believe just as much as I admire the outdoors. To be able to connect these two things through character design is a constant source of joy for me. I enjoy drawing characters that were conjured in my mind no matter what emotion they provoke in my eyes or other people’s eyes, as i truly believe that art is beautiful no matter the emotion provoked.

 

Being able to connect my passions through all three; character design, graphic design and photography, has been a very therapeutic journey to discover more intricate features of everything I love. I look forward to creating more work in the future for all of my passions, no matter how much they change as I grow as an artist.
